New Orleans native Renée Wilson returns home after Hurricane Katrina, expecting to help her family rebuild only to discover their loss runs deeper than the storm’s destruction. Through personal storytelling, she challenges mainstream narratives, offering a dignified and truthful portrayal of resilience and recovery. Featuring appearances by Reverend Al Sharpton and then Senator Barack Obama, the film captures the power of love and community in the face of devastation.
