Award-winning director, actor, writer, producer, and singer from New Orleans.

Celebrated for her multidimensional storytelling across film, audio, and music, Renée’s career began with her role as Raelette Pat Lyle in the Academy Award-winning film Ray. She has since earned acclaim for her documentaries Crepe Covered Sidewalks and Ode to Joy, the latter winning the 2022 Maui Film Festival Audience Award. A seasoned performer, Renée has also released two albums, Voodoo Queen, All About Love, and a third coming in 2025.

Currently, Renée is an executive producer and lead actor in Red for Revolution, a Tribeca Festival award-winning narrative audio drama exploring intergenerational stories of Black women, liberation, and love, set to release on PRX’s Radiotopia Presents. As the founder of Meta Mana Media, Renée produces impactful content across platforms, collaborating with creatives and brands to tell bold, transformative stories that celebrate and serve our collective humanity.
